SLOW-COOKED TRI-TIP
1 1/2 - 3# Tri tip steak brought to room temperature canola or vegetable oil salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Rub meat with oil and lightly salt and pepper both sides. Insert digital thermometer in meat . Place meat on a roasting rack or grate and into the oven. Remove meat when internal temperature reaches 117 degrees. Cover meat and let sit for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain and serve. |
