TERIYAKI SAUCE           Hawaiian basic                       

 1 cup shoyu

3 cup water

4 heaping tbsp. brown sugar

1 piece fresh ginger, about 4" thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, mashed

6 heaping tbsp. white sugar

2 green onions

 

Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium sauce pan, simmer 5 minutes, let cool to room temperature then strain and it’s ready to use.
