BEGGAR'S MARINADE                     R. Murata

 Richard was the food “Guru” at the restaurant chain I worked for.  He either stole or modified this marinade from the Joe Fat’s restaurant which became Reubens and then the Spindrifter.  Richard knew food!

 1 gal shoyu

3 cups salad oil

9 cups burgundy

5 tbs. garlic powder

2 tbs. oregano


      Abbreviated Version:

      1 cup shoyu

      2 tbsp. olive oil

      ˝ cup burgundy

      2 cloves garlic  minced

      dash oregano  

           put in a blender...enough for 1­2# meat
