CHEX PARTY MIXES 

NORI FURIKAKI MIX                                              Jack & Charlene Gonzales

 

½ cup butter
½ cup salad oil
½ cup dark Karo syrup
¾ cup brown sugar
3 TBSP shoyu
heat all above until dissolved and bubbling
 
2 large boxes rice chex
2 bottles nori furikake
 

Drizzle heated mixture and sprinkle nori furikake over top of rice chex in a large pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray. 

Bake at 250 degrees for one hour, stirring every few minutes to prevent sticking.

 

OTHER KINE MIX                                                    May Akamine

 

1# butter

1 cup white sugar

1 tsp garlic salt

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

 

Heat until dissolved and bubbling

 

1 box rice chex

1 box corn chex

1 package small pretzels

1 can unsalted nuts (cashews for greatness, or just peanuts)

 

Drizzle heated mixture over dry ingredients in a large pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray.

 

Bake at 250 degrees for one hour tossing/stirring at least every 15 minutes.
