Faucette family
- Crust:

- ½ c softened
butter
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 c sifted
flour
- Mix butter,
sugar and flour until crumbly. Press evenly in a 9x9 or 7x11 pan. Bake 10‑12
minutes at 400 degrees. Don't brown.

- 1/3 c sifted
flour
- ½ tsp. baking
powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c brown
sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ c walnut
bits
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ c chopped
dates
- Mix together
flour, baking powder, salt ‑ set aside.
Beat eggs, add brown sugar and dates ‑ blend
well.
Add to date mix flour mix, vanilla, and nuts.
Spread evenly over baked crust. Bake at 350
degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into squares while still hot.
