MINT JULEP                                                                Stolen

2 or 3   sprigs of mint

1             teaspoon sugar

1             teaspoon water

3          ounces good quality bourbon

Put mint sprigs sugar and water into a highball glass (about an 8 oz glass).  Mash & mix (muddle) this mixture for about 15 seconds.  Add 2 ounces of the bourbon.  Fill glass with shaved ice.  Stir slowly until glass frosts.  Float remaining ounce of Bourbon.  Garnish with 2 mint leaves.

Don’t muddle the mint too much as you’ll get the bitter taste as well as the pleasant taste

You can drink this right away, but it’s better if you let it sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
